5 Weeks to the Holidays....Stay Focused!

Getting your workouts in while nothing is going on is challenging enough but add a little holiday madness to the mix and too many people begin to push exercise to the bottom of a long list.  Yet, if you understand the physical and psychological costs of extra holiday stress, eating, and energy requirements you realize that now is the time to INCREASE your exercise resolve!

A good workout helps you burn off those inevitable extra calories, decrease the peaking stress levels, and give you the boost to pull off a holiday bash that would make even Martha proud.

Not to mention, an object in motion tends to stay in motion and continuing exercise in January is SOOO much better than the fall-off-the-wagon-gain-weight-get-depressed-and-drag-your-sorry-self-back-to-class approach.

So here are some tips to renew your commitment and energy up for the holiday class season!

  • Buddy Up!  Get together with a friend (or friends) and make a pack to keep punching right through the season
  • Hold the Line!  Keep stepping on the scale and taking measurements to keep an eye on your improvements
  • Plan ahead!  A well organized plan means time for everything and a good workout each day
  • Shop online...there’s still time to shop on the web and avoid spending exercise time at the mall.  (if you HAVE to go make sure to take some extra laps)
  • Ramp Up!  Why not bring the fight to the holidays and even try to make extra classes or some new gains before the New Year?

If you get yourself to classes...our instructors will bring the energy, instruction, and some holiday spice!

Great challenge Andy. After a bit of a hiatus, I am ramping up, not only for the Christmas season, but to get a jump on 2012 activities. Thanks for the "push".

The New Year's Resolution Run is coming up. Anyone want to join us?

Back on the bike, and getting more active,
